Ideal for families, cyclists, and casual walkers, this flat trail is a perfect way to enjoy countryside views without venturing too far into the hills.

About the Sett Valley Trail

Once part of the Manchester to Hayfield railway, the line closed in 1970 and was converted into a multi-use trail. Today, it provides a level, well-surfaced path suitable for walking, cycling, wheelchairs, and pushchairs.

You’ll pass through woodlands, open fields, and small hamlets, with easy access to nature, wildlife, and two charming towns at either end.
